Dr. Paul Bajuk
DVM
Dr. Paul Bajuk graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. He initially practiced at an emergency clinic in the northern suburbs, gaining experience in emergency medicine, surgery, and critical care. After a few years, he transitioned into traditional daytime practice as a general practitioner. He enjoys the medical and surgical challenges his dog and cat patients present to him on a daily basis, both routine and on an emergency basis. He holds a special interest in soft tissue surgery, critical care medicine, geriatric medicine, and helping clients and their pets enjoy their golden years more comfortably. Dr. Bajuk is an active member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association and Chicago Veterinary Medical Association. In his free time, Dr. Bajuk enjoys spending time and being active with his wife and two sons, which often includes playing tennis, skiing, and running with their dog Brodie.
Rebekah
Office Manager
Rebekah is our Office Manager and you’ll find her working alongside the other team members most of the time or working one on one with Dr. Paul. Rebekah has been with the clinic since it first opened in 2022 and can’t imagine working in any other industry. She started out as an assistant technician in high school and worked as a Veterinary Technician since for 15 years. She also obtained her certificate of level 3 Fear Free Certified.
Rebekah has 2 very sweet cats: a black and grey tabby named Finnegan and an orange tabby named Rua. Rebekah recently adopted a pet turtle named Gizmo. She is most passionate about client satisfaction and providing the best care for your fur babies!
In her free time she loves to read, do crafts, go camping, pet-sit and spend time with her two kids.
Alice
Receptionist
Alice is our new receptionist, and will be eager to welcome you in. She was going to college for Child Psychology, but knew it wasn’t her end goal, and decided to quit for a change of pace. After working as a home health assistant, she started dog grooming, and felt at home being surrounded by furry friends again. Combining her two passions of medical assisting and pets, Alice quickly began her career in Veterinary Medicine.
Alice is a lover of all animals; from crawling critters to familiar four-legged friends. She has a mini zoo at home with her leopard gecko, Little Girl, her guinea pig, Winston, and her Maine-Coon kitty named Rooster. On off days, you can find Alice reading, paddle boarding, golfing, or watching Pride and Prejudice (again). If you ask her where she sees herself in the future, it will be here helping your furry family.
Her favorite part of being in Veterinary Medicine is not just the patients that come in, but helping family’s navigate the sometimes overwhelming world of animal care. She firmly believes helping others understand is the first step to quality care.
Rachael
Lead Veterinary Technician
Rachael is our Lead Veterinary Technician. Her career working with animals began at the age of 18 as a professional dog groomer, a role she held for six years. In 2019, she relocated to Colorado to pursue her passion for veterinary medicine and further her education in veterinary technology. She graduated from Bel-rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in Denver, Colorado, in 2021, earning an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology.
Rachael shares her home with her Australian Cattle Dog, Morty. Her professional interests include anesthesia management, surgical assistance, and performing dental procedures. She is dedicated to providing safe, compassionate care and helping patients receive the highest standard of treatment.
Outside of work, Rachael enjoys hiking, playing video games, and attending music festivals.
Brittany
Veterinary Technician
Brittany is one of our dedicated Veterinary Technicians and has been serving patients and their families in veterinary medicine since 2020. As a Level 3 Fear Free Certified Professional, she is passionate about reducing stress and creating positive experiences for pets during their veterinary visits.
At home, Brittany enjoys spending time with her two dogs: Tex, a sweet three-legged Labrador mix, and Lexie, an energetic Miniature Schnauzer. Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is performing dental procedures and seeing the lasting improvements they make in her patients overall health and quality of life.
Outside of the clinic, Brittany enjoys cooking, exploring local nature trails, and sharing quotes from her favorite songs, movies, and television shows. Known for her compassionate nature and dedication to patient care, Brittany is committed to providing exceptional support and treatment for every pet she meets.
Melissa
Veterinary Technician
Melissa is one of our talented Veterinary Technicians. She has been in the Veterinary industry for 11 years. She was born and raised in Boston, MA.
Melissa loves to travel. She has currently traveled to 23 countries and still plans on many more. Her favorites include South Africa, Thailand, and Japan. She also loves to read and can be found with a book in her spare time.
Her passion in vet med is assisting with training our staff and taking care of pets during urgent care situations.
MaRita
Veterinary Technician Assistant
MaRita is our Veterinary Technician Assistant and has been with us for 3 years! She is currently attending Collin College and has been for 3 years now. Her plan is to eventually attend Texas A&M and further her education in Veterinary Medicine.
MaRita has one dog named Stella who has been her best friend since she was 9 years old. Outside of school her hobbies include playing with Stella and traveling. She also loves spending time with her family and friends.
Her favorite thing about Vet Med is that she can express her passion for animals in the most meaningful way possible, and that is by ensuring they are happy and healthy.
